Memorial service will be held on September 22, 2013 at Ross-Clayton Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on September 23, 2013 at Ross-Clayton Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Rippy, officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Douglas Oates. Those left to cherish Kitty are her mother Julia of Mount Meigs; daughter, Christie (Stephen) Aviano Air Base, Italy; two grandchildren (Stephen Lawson and Julian Ellisa); three sisters Eleanor (Tangela) Sanders and Lillian (Malorie) Sanders of Montgomery and Sandra (Larry) Harris of Huntsville, as well as numerous special cousins and extended family.
