Barbara-Joyce Sanders, née en 1940, conjointe de Rodney Sanders, fille de Deward et Joyce, est décédée le 16 avril 1940. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
Barbara Joyce Sanders passed away in Greene Haven Nursing Home following a long fight with Alzheimer's. She was born April 16, 1940, in Woodlawn, Va., and attended school at Glen Rogers High School. She married Rodney Sanders on February 20, 1960, in Glenfork, W.V. Barbara attended Baptist Temple of Springfield, Mo., for many years, and was a tireless worker in the church. She helped organize many dinners and other church functions for years before her illness. Barbara loved to read the Bible daily and also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was a voracious reader. She loved gospel music and took great comfort from it in her final hours. Though Alzheimer's took her memory, it never took her loving spirit, and everyone who knew her will remember her kind and gentle nature, and her deep caring for the well-being of others. Barbara was loved by those who got to know her, even as her illness took hold. Her family, her friends and her church family will miss her, but we all know this is but a pause before we see her again. She was preceded in death by her father, Deward Easter. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Sanders; her mother, Joyce Easter; her children and their spouses, Martin and Jan Sanders, Mary and Joe Donahue, Mike and Mandy Sanders, Melissa Sanders and Matthew Sanders; her grandchildren, James Rodney Sanders, Daniel Sanders, Annabeth Sanders, Michael Ward, Brayden Sanders, Bridgette Donahue and Bailey Donahue; her brothers and their spouses, J.B. and Diana Easter, Walter and Jan Easter and Elton and Tammy Easter; her sister, Betty Easter; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation in Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Thursday, May 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, in Baptist Temple, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Community Hospices of America SWMO, 465 E. Primrose, in honor of the wonderful care and love they showed Barbara.
