BURGGRAF, Barbara Helen - known to many as Babs, passed away peacefully on August 20/07 at Kingston in her 89th year. She was predeceased by her husband Louis and will be lovingly remembered by her six children Beverley (Roland), Gary (Marjorie), Owen (Doreen), Wendy, Peggy and Barbara (Brian), ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Margaret and Nancy (Lorne) and was much loved by her brother Harry Van Scoyoc (predeceased). She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews living in the United States. She was a very loving, dedicated and compassionate mother. Widowed at age 47, she embarked on a second career at the Montreal children's Hospital and became manager of the Tiny Tim shop. After retiring to Kingston she enjoyed volunteering at the Hotel Dieu Hospital Pediatric ward where she provided support to sick children. According to her request there will be no funeral or visitation but her family will celebrate her life at a later date. Special thanks to the many Staff and Volunteers at Trillium Ridge who contributed to her comfort and care. In memory of Barbara (Babs), donations to the Children's Angada Fund, which can be made through the Kingson General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. 10793393
