Annie Ruth Williams, 71, of Central Nyack, died April 15, 2013, at Nyack Hospital while surrounded by family and friends.She was born in 1941 in Opelika, Ala., according to Hannemann Funeral Home, which handled her funeral arrangements and published her obituary.She worked at and retired from Camp Venture.She was a faithful member of St. Charles AME Zion Church in Sparkill, where she served as a deaconess, the president of the pastor's aide and many other ministries within the church.Survivors include two sons, James and Tyrone; a sister, Nellie Dumas; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, the Rev. James J. Williams, and a son, Keith.Visiting hours will be 6-9 p.m. Monday, April 22, and 9-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at St. Charles AME Zion Church, 432 Valentine Ave., in Sparkill. Her funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at the Rockland County Veterans Cemetery in Spring Valley.
