Smith, Anna (Nestoriak) COHOES Anna Nestoriak Smith, 86 of Cohoes, died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Daughter's of Sarah Nursing Home, Albany. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Polly Walko Nestoriak and wife of the late Frank Smith. Anna was a lifelong Capital District area resident and received her education in the Maplewood Schools. She was dedicated to her family and home and cherished the time spent with her family. Anna enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was a former parishioner of St. Basil's Russian Orthodox Church in Maplewood. Anna is survived by her loving children, June Lavigna and her husband Michael Sr. of Ballston Lake and Sharon Dame (the late James Sr.) of Loudonville; her adored grandchildren, Michael Lavigna Jr., Andrea (Steve) Chatterton, James (Kristy) Dame Jr., Suzanne Ainscoe and Lisa Gorman and seven great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Marie Geleta and her brothers John and Theodore Nestoriak. A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in memory's Garden, Colonie.
