1921-2014 UNITY - Anita Mari Dubois, 92, formerly of Oakland Avenue in Waterville, died Monday morning, Feb. 3, 2014, at the home of her son in Unity. Anita was born Sept. 10, 1921, in Augusta, a daughter of Francis and Lucia (Turcotte) LaPointe. She was the greatest mom, grandmother and great-grandmother to the many who entrusted part of their growing up years to her. She freely taught them knitting, crocheting or her first language of French. She also was a capable fisherman at her beloved camp at Brassua Lake. Anita always knew all of the right things to say. She lived a great life full of memories and times that will be cherished by all who loved her. There are many memories of many good times. Anita was married to Edward Dubois Aug. 10, 1940. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales of Waterville and she worked for many years as a nurse's aide at Chandler Nursing Home, Waterville Osteopath and Mt. Merici Infirmary. Anita is survived by three sons, Stanley and Wilfred, both of Unity, and Lawrence, of Waterville; a brother, Lawrence LaPointe, of Winslow; grandchildren Julie King, Sherry Pelotte, Michael, Rodney, Laurie, David, Chad, Amie and Dominic Dubois; as well as great-grandchildren Keira and Ryan King, Ana Lisa and Tanna Pelotte, Maxwell, Andrew, Whitney, Danielle, Alex, Lillian, Ethan and Thorne Dubois. Anita was predeceased by her husband, Edward; and granddaughter Kelly Lynn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Notre Dame Church.
