McDONALD, Alton Edwin August 2, 1926 - March 3, 2009 Alton McDonald, beloved husband of Leona McDonald of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Alton was born August 2, 1926 in Wellington, Prince Edward Island. He served his country for over twenty-seven years in the Royal Canadian Navy and Special Forces with the Army. Alton was stationed with the United Nations in Egypt before returning to Canada and settling in Calgary. Alton is survived by his loving wife Leona; children: Roger (Corrine), Russ, Cindy and Joe; grandchildren: Jeremiah, Marc and Alanna and one great-grandson, Ethan; son-in-law, Brian LaRocque; two sisters, Rita Trainor and Iris (Ray) McEwen as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary, brothers, Earl and Clarence. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
