ASHVILLE — Funeral services for Alma Clogene Tompkins, 79, will be at 2 p.m. today, April 8, 2009, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Sampley officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Ms. Tompkins died Monday, April 6, 2009, at her residence. Survivors include one daughter, Pamela T. Webb of Ashville; two sons, Gerald Tompkins II of Ashville, and Kyle Tompkins of Heflin; three sisters, Elva R. Roberts of Heflin, Christine R. Smith of Atlanta and Sara Ann Bible of Lanett; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandson and nephews. Mrs. Tompkins a resident of Ashville, was formerly of Heflin.
