MAPLETON and PRESQUE ISLE - Ada Stephenson, 94, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at a Presque Isle hospital, with her family by her side. Ada was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Easton, daughter of the late Harry L. and Elizabeth (Tompkins) Parks. She graduated from Presque Isle High School and was employed for many years at Northern National Bank and Weinberg's. Ada was a 40-year member of the Aroostook Rebekah Lodge and also served as president and noble grand, and was a former member of the Lionetts Club of Mapleton. She is survived by a son, Roger E. Stephenson and his wife, Grenda, of Mapleton; a daughter, Joan B. (Stephenson) Dwyer of Wakefield, Mass.; a brother, Richard Parks and his wife, Ruth, of Windsor, Conn.; and two sisters, Clara Bragdon and her husband, Darrell, of Lakeland, Fla., and Marjorie Veronesi of Moodus, Conn. She also leaves behind five grandsons, Rick Dunn, Terry Dunn, Todd, Troy and Trent Stephenson; five great-grandchildren, India, Brendon, Rikki Elizabeth, Taylor and Sophia; and two great-great-grandchildren, Blaire and Andrew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph M. "Jake" Stephenson; three brothers, Ralph, Earl and Harry; and six sisters, Ella Burtt, Leota Davis, Leona Hutsko, Una Corley, Helen Morgan and Florence Mosher. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Chaffee officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service. Committal services will take place in the spring at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homeless Services of Aroostook, P.O.
