HAMILTON -Edgar S. Allen, Jr., 81, of Hamilton, passed away Friday at The Clare Estate, Bordentown.Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Ewing Township for 60 years. Mr. Allen was a groundskeeper for the City of Trenton, Board of Education until his retirement. A proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he enjoyed watching game shows and especially enjoyed going to bingo. Edgar's family would like to thank the staff of The Clare Estate and Hospice of New Jersey for the wonderful care they provided.Son of the late Edgar S. and Mary Esther Allen, brother of the late Elizabeth Allen and Albert Allen, father of the late Walter Wise, and husband of the late Lettitia Allen, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Arthur Egan; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Marge Allen, Jack Allen, Fred and Peggy Allen; his sister, Patricia Gublisco; his grandchildren, Brian and Jackeline Egan, Jeffery Egan, and Samuel and Mary Wise, his great-grandchildren, Cera, Kiernan, Gavin, and Gabriella Egan, John and Brianna Dougherty, and Samuel Jr. and Kaley Wise; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton.
