Obituary of William-J. Bacon

MALTA William J. Bacon (Billy), 61, of Malta, died on July 9, 2004 at his residence after a long illness. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Floyd E. Bacon and Francis Fox Bacon and was the devoted husband of Judy Tufts Bacon of Malta. Mr. Bacon was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from the Norton Company in Watervliet due to his disability. Mr. Bacon was a former member of the Veterans of Lansingburgh. Survivors in addition to his wife include his daughters, Darcie Gormley of Mechanicville, Kimberley Anderson of Clifton Park and Kristy Noel of N.J.; brother, Donald Bacon of Calif.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Troy. Friends are invited and may call at the Frank P.
