Obituary of William Gates

GATES, William Harrison, 84, of Zephyrhills, passed away Friday, April 22, 2005, in Zephyrhills. He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Hainer of Parchment, Mich., and Laura Thompson of Paw Paw, Mich.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Gates was born October 5, 1920, in Frankfort, Mich. to Seth and Minnie (Miller) Gates. He was a veteran of the Navy serving in World War II where he received a Purple Heart and was a member of the Order of the Purple Heart. He worked in a hospital as a maintenance engineer and he was a Catholic.
