Obituary of William-F. Bacon


William F. Bacon July 14, 1913 March 23, 2004 _ It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of William "Bill " Bacon at the age of 90 years, at the Wheatbelt Centennial Lodge, Rosetown, SK. Bill is survived by his wife, Esther; children, Anita (Bill) Christie and their family, Joanne (Mark) and Bob (Candice), Saskatoon; Bill (June) Bacon and their family, Bill (Lisa) and James, Victoria, BC; Bob (Kathy) Bacon, Rollyview, AB and their son, Ryan (Andrea) Wetaskawin, AB; Brenda (Grant) Anderson, Rosetown, and their family, Russ, Rosetown and Scott, North Battleford; Kelly (Ray) Gaudet and their family, Adrien and Danielle, Prince Albert; and their five great-grandchildren. Bill and Esther were married November 21, 1939 in Prince Albert, and moved to Rosetown in 1953. Bill worked for Burns' & Co. for 50 years before retiring in 1978. Bill and Esther would have celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary this year. They were lucky to have had so many happy retirement years together, spent with family and friends at their cottage in Turtle Lake and their winters in Victoria, B.C. Bill will be fondly missed by all who knew him. Heartfelt thanks to all the caring staff at Wheatbelt Centennial Lodge in Rosetown. Vigil of Prayer will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 26 and Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2004 at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Rosetown. Memorial donations may be made to Rosetown & District Health Centre Foundation Inc, Rosetown, Sask. S0L 2V0. Clements' Rosetown Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
