William C. PaceMr. William C. "Bill" Pace, 99, of Tuscumbia, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014. His family will receive friends for visitation Saturday morning, Jan. 4, 2014, at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 10-11. The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Phillip Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Pace; parents, James and Myrtle Pace; brothers, James "Neil", Dewey, Grady, John, and Lonnie; sisters, Ellie Mae, Etta, Mattie Evaline, Cora, Alma, Annie, and Irene; and grandson, Keith Cox.He is survived by his sons, Doug Pace, of Town Creek, and Frank Pace, of Florence; daughters, Alice Berry (Claude), of Tuscumbia, Betty Winton, of Muscle Shoals, and Linda Cox, of Town Creek; grandchildren, Kitten Jackson, Kim Garrie, Chandler Jackson, Bill Cox, Frankie Pace, and Katie Pace; and great-grandchildren, Brandi Gaut, Jessie Cox, Jamie Garrie, Roman Pace, Maddox Malloy, and Jayde Oswalt.Pallbearers will include Dewey Pace Jr., Danny Pace, Steven Pace, Jackie Pace, Donald Pace, Lonnie Pace, Doyle Pace, and Glen Rutherford. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Pace, Rayburn Pace, Gary Pace, and Raymond Fletcher.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Colbert Heights Volunteer Fire Deptartment, Amanda Taylor, Debra Turbyfill, Betty Holcomb, and others who have assisted in his care.
