Obituary of Thomas-Franklin James

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, February 24, 2008, Mr. Thomas Franklin James, 74, husband of Thelma H. James. Mr. James was a native of Grovetown and a life long resident of the CSRA. He served with the U.S. Marines. Mr. James worked as a Railroad Conductor and also as a carpenter. Family members in addition to his wife include his daughters, Annette J. Duffield of Evans, Yvonne Angle of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brothers, George W. James, Jr., the late John E. James, the late Claude Heywood James, Leonard C. James; sisters, Gloria Mae Holley, Virginia Carlisle, Pat Copeland; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. Gerald McNutt officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews and honoraries will be his namesakes. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the residence.
