MERIDEN - Theresa "Terry" DiPace Hanson, 73, beloved wife of Paul B. Hanson, of South Meriden, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. Born in New Britain, Aug. 7, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Perron DiPace, she had been a South Meriden resident for many years. Terry had been employed at the MidState Medical Center as a nurse prior to her retirement. Besides her husband, Paul, she is survived by her children, Cheryl Rasmussen and her husband, Philip of Meriden and Frank Oraczewski; her stepchildren, Jeffrey Hanson of Wallingford and Craig Hanson of Vermont; her grandchildren, Skye Muli and her husband, Patrick and Shaina Rasmussen, all of Meriden, and Philip Rasmussen of Bristol; her step-grandchildren, David Hanson, Christopher Hanson and Brian Hanson, all of Vermont; three great-grandchildren; her brothers, George DiPace and his wife, Ethel of New Hampshire and Robert DiPace of Waterbury; and many nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank the staff of the MidState Medical Center and the Medical Oncology and Hematology P.C. for their compassion and caring. Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday, from 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
