Obituary of Sluys-Stephen Patrick

SLUYS-Stephen Patrick, age 84, of Myrtle Beach, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005. Mr. Sluys was born in Rockaway Beach, N.Y., son of the late Etienne and Anne Ryan Sluys. He retired from a long career with IBM, fought boldly in WW II. Mr. Sluys was an active member of the American Legion and was predeceased by his wife Anne Patricia Sluys, a grandson Sage Hoben Simon, and a sister, Janet. Surviving are one son, Kevin B. Sluys and his wife Sharon of Myrtle Beach; three daughters, Beth Ann Sluys of Madison, WI, Jo Anne Simon of Bellingham, WA, and Susan Sluys of Longmont, CO; one son-in-law; four grandchildren and one greatgrandchild, one brother William Sluys and his wife Elinor of Sebastian, FL. A Memorial Service will be held 7 PM, Friday, from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM, Friday, at the Funeral Home.
