Obituary of Sally-Anne Jones

Sally Anne (Bubnas) Jones, 69, of Carbondale, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Sunday, January 6, 2008 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Sally Anne was born November 7, 1938 in Zeigler to George and Sally (Cerjan) Bubnas. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Lee Jones and Aaron Thomas Jones; a sister, Phyllis J. Bubnas and a grandson, Ronald Blake Jones all of Carbondale and a brother George J. Bubnas of Taylor, Michigan and a niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, George and Cecelia Cerjan. Sally Anne attended high schools in Zeigler and Dearborn Heights, Michigan. She was employed by the Teamsters Union from 1956 to 1977 at local union 299 in Detroit, MI when she became Secretary/Treasurer of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 124 in Detroit, Michigan until her retirement in 1994. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Jones may be made to the American Cancer Society; the Alzheimers Association or the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, P.O. Box 100, Royalton, IL 62983. In accordance with Mrs. Jones's wishes, she was cremated. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
