Obituary of Robert-George Hawes

HAWES, Robert George 'Butch' – On Wednesday September 5th, 2007, Butch peacefully passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 76 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Mildred 'Milly' (2002) and his daughter Lynn (1965). Survived by his dear children, Wayne (Judy) Hawes, of Brampton and Lori (Larry) Hulett, of Niagara Falls. Cherished grandfather of Maggie, Robert, Matthew and Bradford. Brother of Margaret (Don) Beckett, of St. Catharines and David (Marilyn) Hawes of Niagara Falls. Butch will fondly be remembered by several nieces and nephews. Butch worked with Niagara Transit for over 30 years and was an avid member of Fallsview Brethren in Christ Church. Butch is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL OF THE MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main St., where his family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service celebrating Butch's life will be held at Fallsview Brethren in Christ Church on Friday morning at 11:00 o'clock. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Butch, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Brethren in Christ World Missions Fund or to Fallsview Brethren in Christ Building Fund.
