Obituary of Robert-Bertil Carlson

ObituaryRobert Bertil Carlson, 81, of Sidney Maine formerly of Reading, died suddenly September 21, 2001. Beloved husband of 59 years of Virginia (Platt) Carlson, father of Svea Carlson of Stoneham and Fort Myers, FL, Martha Cunningham of Reading, Krista Cullen of Bradford, NH and Kurt Carlson of N. Reading. A son Green Beret Robert B. Carlson Jr. MD predeceases him. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Carlson, also survive Robert. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 27 at the First Baptist Church 45 Woburn St. Reading at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Vising hours Wednesday 5 - 9 p.m. at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (Corner of Woburn St.) Reading. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Burial in Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Robert's memory a charity of one's choice assisting the victims of the Sept. 11 World Trade Center tragedy.
