Obituary of Robert-Allen James

Robert Allen James of Bristol, CT, born January 9th, 1937, passed away peacefully on May 2nd, 2015 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Robert was born and raised in Grove Street, Melrose, MA. He was the son of the late Jasper S James and Marion Lithgow 'Jamie' James. He was predeceased by his brothers Donny, Larry and Arthur. Robert graduated from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, and served in the US Army in Germany. He worked in the CT State Lottery for 18 years and retired in 1992. He travelled to 16 countries. His favorite hobby was hunting and recording Sasquatch. They have a terrible odor and are not very friendly. Besides his wife, Margaret H. James, he is survived by his five children, Danny, Laurie, David, Erin and Heather, six grandchildren and one great-grandson. He will be sorely missed by his family. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, CNAs, staff, and volunteers at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford for taking such good care of a man who took such good care of others all his life. Funeral arrangements are private.
