Obituary of Richard James

Richard Lee James 1968-2011 BENNINGTON Richard Lee James age 42, a resident of Pleasant St. in Bennington died on Tuesday evening, April 26, unexpectedly. He was born in Providence, R.I., on August 22, 1968 and was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Packard) James. He received his education in local schools. Richard has been married to the former MacKenzie Lee since March 18, 2009. Richard was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. He loved working on cars, listening to country music and fishing. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. Besides his current wife his is survived by his former wife and good friend Mary James. His children: Robert Lee, Alexis Boyd, Bradley Boyd, Brian Boyd, Mary Lou James, Demetrie Previe, Brandon Wiggon, Joshua Gay and Kourtnie Lamson, all of Bennington, Melissa James and Nicole Perkins of Massachusetts and Ashley Champney of New Hampshire and Falynne Stanley. Richard leaves on brother Albert James, several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and one nephew. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial service will be held on Monday evening, May 2, at 7 p.m. at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington with the Reverend Robin Greene officiating. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, May 2 from 5 p.m. until the time of the services.
