Obituary of Rene-L. Desmarais

DESMARAIS, RENE I., 70, of Douglas Pike and formerly of Central Falls died Tuesday, December 20 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Isador and Angelina (Grenon) Desmarais, he had lived in Central Falls for most of his life before moving to Smithfield 7 years ago. Mr. Desmarais was a lab technician for Teknor-Apex, Inc., Pawtucket for 38 years, retiring in 1989. He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, Central Falls.He is survived by 2 daughters, Karen M. Desmarais of Pawtucket and Kathryn M. Gaouette of North Attleboro; 2 sons, John R. Desmarais of Cumberland and Raymond J. Desmarais of Palm Bay, FL; 2 sisters, Doris Lafreniere of Central Falls and Dolores Doyle of Pawtucket; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral will be held FRIDAY, December 23 at 8:30 A.M. from the BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in Notre Dame Church, 666 Broad Street, Central Falls. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited and may call THURSDAY 5-8 P.M.
