September 5, 2012 Raymond "Whitey" Weller, 86, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away on Wednesday at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse. Born in Lysander, to his late parents, Lulu (Hammond) and Leslie Weller on May 11, 1926. A Navy veteran, served on ship, USS Guam, WWII. Former employers, Leaseway Trucking; and manger of Fulton Spring Service, Fulton, NY. Whitey was a past commander VFW Post 5380, Hannibal, and a life member VFW Post 5540, Phoenix, NY. Predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia Weller in 1962; six brothers, Dick, Don, Ralph, Louie, Carl and Cecil. Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Cora E. (Loveless) Weller; his children, Donna (Steve) Auyer of Liverpool, Wanda Weller of Baldwinsville, Raymond (Carol) Weller Jr. of AZ, Robert Weller of Fulton, Les (Julie) Weller of Fulton, Steven (Kathy) Weller of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours only on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to V. A.
