Obituary of Raymond-Frederick Cail


Raymond Frederick Cail 1946-2014 The death of Raymond Cail of Saint John, beloved husband of Jeannette (Sonier) Cail occurred on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his wife at his side. Born in Smith’s Corner on February 10, 1946, he was a son of the late Raymond and Alnora (Edgett) Cail. Prior to his retirement, Raymond successfully owned and operated Cail’s Towing. He was a skilled mechanic and had also driven taxi for many years. Raymond was passionate about stock car racing and was an avid sports fan. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife, Raymond is also survived by his children, Leonard W. Cail (Penny Gallery), Marie L. Cail and Jeffrey M. Cail (Hali Cross) all of Saint John; sisters, Caroline Cail (Jamie) of Saint John and Bonnie Hughes of Alberta; brothers, Eugene Cail (Brenda) and Stewart Cail (Marilyn) all of Saint John and Ronald Cail (Beth) of Alberta; grandchildren, Alex, Kristofer, Amy, Pagen, Savana, Emma, Marisa and Shelby; several nieces and nephews; as well as canine companion, Scooter. He was predeceased by his infant brother, George and grandson, Zackery Michael Mason. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting of Tuesday, July 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, July 23 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
