Obituary of Raymond Croix

La CROIX Raymond J. La Croix, age 63, of Stratford, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2004, at Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. La Croix, a retired carpenter for Carpenter's Union, Local #210, was born in Canada to the late Samuel and Claudia (Robichaud) La Croix, and had been a Stratford resident for more than 30 years. Survivors include his beloved wife, Helen Bednarik La Croix; his devoted daughters, Kimberly La Croix of Stratford, Laura Classey and her husband, James, of Vermont, and Bonnie Stearn and her husband, Chris, of Fairfield; five grandchildren: Amy Sullivan, Jennifer Sullivan, Amber Classey, Alex Stearn and A.J. Stearn; a brother, Roland La Croix and his wife, Eileen, of Maine; two sisters, Marie Roy and her husband, Leo, and Helen Gusch, all of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Edmond La Croix; and two sisters, Juliette Eldridge and Marie King. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
