Obituary of Ralph S. Wheeler

Ralph Stanwood Wheeler, of Clermont, FL, age 94, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at his home in Florida. He was born in Quincy, MA. He worked for General Electric as a Master Electrician and worked on Jet Engines. He was a Quincy Youth Baseball Manager and Umpire for many years. Also was an avid bowler for Christ Church Bowling League and bowled until April of 2009. He was the husband of the late Esther Wheeler. Survived by 2 children Judith Salvatore and her husband Hugo (Sal) of Clermont, FL and Richard Wheeler and his wife Terry of Atlanta, GA. Also survived by grandchildren: Chris and Sandra Swanson of Clermont, FL, Lynne and Eric McCarthy of Clermont, FL, Elizabeth Wallace of Normal, IL, Matthew and Mischka Wheeler of Omaha, NE, and William Wheeler of Normal, IL, and great-grandchildren Courtney Connolly of Clermont, FL, Daniel and Megan Wallace of Normal, IL. Uncle to Bruce and Gayle Wheeler of Weymouth, MA. Also preceded in death by 3 siblings and a grandson Eric Swanson. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010, at 10 a.m. in The Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy Center. Burial to follow in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
