Obituary of Peter Reilly


REILLY, Peter E. "Pete", devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2004 at his home in Alpharetta, Ga. surrounded by his loving family. He was 59 years old. Pete graduated from Niagara University in 1966, retired as an executive from the IBM Corporation after 32 years, and retired as COO of Mapics in Alpharetta. His wife, Elizabeth Reilly, preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Reilly and fiance Fred Pierrelouis of Boston, Mass., Melissa Reilly and fiance, Dr. Chris Foglia of Boston, Mass., Maureen Reilly-Rall and husband Matthew of Zurich, Switzerland; two sons, Gregory Reilly and wife Julie of Glenview, Ill., Jeffrey Reilly and wife Cathy of London, England; four sisters, Lacy Ann Somerville of Woodbridge, Va., Mary Devane of Averil Park, N.Y., Nancy Reilly of Silver Springs, Md., Marsha Geiger of Waynesboro, Va.; brother, Jack Reilly of Dorset, Vt.; brother-in-law, Dr. Clifton Emerson of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Nora, Elizabeth Reilly, Emma Kerri Reilly, Jeffrey Reilly, and Owen Emerson Reilly. Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 535 Rucker Road, Alpharetta, Ga. with Msgr. David Tally officiating. Cremation will follow with a memorial service to be held, in Albany, N.Y. for he and his wife at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454 Atlanta, GA 30368-2454 The family will receive friends on Monday, September 20, 2004 from 6-9 p.m. at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory. 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA 770-645-1414.
