Obituary of Paul-Edwin Miller

Paul Edwin Miller, 70, of Buena Park, CA, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at his home, of natural causes. He was the son of Ambrose "Jack" Miller and Helen Ryan Miller and stepson of Jeanne Mudd Miller. Paul was born and raised in Louisville and a graduate of Holy Name, St. Xavier High School and Bellarmine College and attended the University of Louisville Law School. He and his family moved to California in 1963, but part of his heart remained in Louisville. He worked in the insurance industry for his entire 40-year career, first as a company man, later as an independent adjuster. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Newland Miller. He is survived by his two daughters, Laura Miller and Jeanne Tarazevits and grandson, T.J. Tarazevits. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. 5th Street. He will be interred with his beloved wife, Barbara, in Calvary Cemetery. Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., in charge of local arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. Xavier tuition assistance fund.
