Obituary of Patrick Malley

MALLEY - Patrick passed away at his home in Woodcliff Lake, NJ on Monday, June 30, 2003 after a long illness. Patrick (Pete) was born on June 5, 1927 to Patrick and Kathryn (Doyle) Malley. The family lived in West Haverstraw and Patrick attended local schools. He earned a Bachelor's Degree at Wilmington College in Ohio. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Patrick taught Industrial Art and Technology at Farley Middle School in Stony Point, NY. During many summers, he worked on construction. He was a Member of North Rockland Teachers Association and had been a Member of IUOE #825. Patrick is survived by two daughters, Jenna and Sarah. He is also survived by his sister Patricia and her husband Ernest Swanson of Lewes, DE. His niece Gaiana Swanson of Montclair, NJ and his nephew Eric Swanson of Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Other survivors include cousins in the Malley and Predergast Families. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, 9 AM at St. Peter's Church in Haverstraw, NY with Burial to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY.
