Obituary of Patrick-Lorne Weir


WEIR, PATRICK LORNE - August 22, 1950 - August 8, 2007 - It is with deepest sorrow that the family announces his sudden death on Wednesday, August 8th at the age of 56. He leaves behind his best friend and wife Carol, whom he loved unconditionally. Lorne loved his two children, Aileen (Dave) Felsher of Balmertown and Collin (Kathy) of South Porcupine. Lorne's pride and joy, his grandson Isaac MacKenzie Felsher. Stepchildren, Shannon (Jamie) Costello and Robert Tobin. Lorne always had a shadow, Molly his best buddy. Lorne leaves behind his father Patrick Weir and is predeceased by his mother Doris (nee MacKenzie) Weir. (October 14, 2004). Lorne also leaves his twin brother Roy Weir and siblings Susan (Don) Berlingeri and John (Dorothy) Weir. Family was always Lorne's number one priority. Lorne was a teacher at Northern College, his students better knew him as Mom. He was passionate about teaching. Not only to his students, but anyone who was willing to listen. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing and ice fishing. He was an avid hockey fan. He enjoyed coaching, organizing and spectating. Go Habs Go! Lorne had a joy for life and a sense of humor that enriched the lives of everyone around him. He is gone but never is forgotten. He will always be loved. Visitations will be at Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Ave., South Porcupine, ON on Sunday, August 12, 2007 between 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be at St. Joachin's Parish, South Porcupine, on Monday, August 13, 2007. Donations to Lorne's favorite charity, Canadian Cancer Society. 10778503
