Obituary of Patricia-Lee Jackson


Patricia L. "Paty" Jackson Patricia Lee "Paty" Jackson, 43, formerly of Mount Zion, died at 10:04 a.m. EST Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. The service will be at 11 a.m. CST Monday at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home (217-429-4421) in Decatur, Ill., with burial at Mount Zion Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. CST Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson Children College Fund, c/o of Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home, 515 W. Wood St., Decatur, IL 62522. Mrs. Jackson was born Nov. 28, 1961, in Decatur and was the daughter of Charles "Chuck" and Shirley May Davenport Pierce.She was an assistant common-area manager for Publix Supermarkets. She was a Baptist. She married David Charles Jackson on May 7, 1985. Survivors include her husband of Tallahassee; her father of Bethany, Ill.; her stepmother, Janet Pierce of Bethany; three children, Danny Jackson (and wife Karen), Joshua Jackson and Kristopher Jackson, all of Tallahassee; her mother-in-law, Beverly Jackson of Decatur; two sisters, Robin Ann Wendell (and husband David) of Mobile, Ala., and Debra Kay Morrow (and husband Mickey) of Decatur; a brother, Todd Edward Pierce (and wife Consuelo) of Lovington, Ill.; her grandfather, George Hal Davenport of Crossville, Ill.; and her stepgrandmother, Lucille "Lucy." She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, Dustin; her maternal grandmother; her paternal grandparents; and an aunt.Paty had touched so many lives. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Shands Hospital for the compassionate and loving care that Paty received.
