AMONS, Ollie Mae "Soot" 82, of St. Petersburg, died on May 27, 2009 at St. Anthony's Hospital. She was a native of Monticello, FL. She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Predeceased by her daughter, Johelen Amons Smith. Survived by 4 sons, Thom Campbell Amons (Judy), Beaumont, TX, Leroy, Oscar and Johnny Mack, St. Petersburg; 6 daughters, Carlotta Macon (Melton), Angela Ammons, Mahulda Williams, Irene Bryant, and Shelia Amons, St. Petersburg, and Janice Ammons, North Hollywood, CA; two brothers, Andrew & Benjamin Boatman; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends.
