Obituary of Mrs. -Ruby-Lee Jackson

ASHVILLE - Funeral service for Ruby Lee Jackson, 80, was 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2 at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Joseph Davis officiated. Burial was in Oakhill Cemetery in Jasper. Mrs. Jackson died Friday, May 28, 2010 at St. Vincent's East, Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ernest Jackson; daughters, Carol Bobo, Christine Abbott, Janet Davis, and Brenda Fitzpatrick; mother, Effie Hensley; father, Emanual Hensley; and three brothers. Survivors are her son, Joseph Kenneth Jackson (Darthey "DJ") of Springville; sister, Joyce Settle of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Renee Chafin (Jonathon), Kim Tomberlin (Mark), Jody Davis (LeeAnn), Kevin Abbott (Printess), Taylor Conradi (Melissa), and Rainah Jackson; and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joseph Davis, Ron Davis, Donny Davis, Wayne Abbott, George Fitzpatrick, and Jordan Lawlay. Collins-Burke Funeral Home Inc. directed.
