Obituary of Michael Oconnor

OCONNOR, Michael Anthony March 18 , 1951 - April 21, 2011 Michael OConnor of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Country Hospice on April 21, 2011 at the age of 60 years. Mike will be remembered as a loving son, father and brother, a talented artist and hair stylist and as a creative, kind and generous man. He was spiritual and had an incredible sense of humour. He is the loving father of Anthony (Sabrina) OConnor of Airdrie, AB and Jessica OConnor (fianc Ari Fixler) of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by his mother Lily OConnor and sister Paulette Lissel and her family. Funeral Services were held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel (North East corner of Highway 22X and 37 Street S.W.) on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Interment to follow at The Chevra Kadisha Cemetery, adjacent to the new chapel. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made directly to a charity of the donor"s choice.
