Obituary of Michael-David Waters

NEW -->Michael David Waters NEW MARKET, UK-- Michael David Waters, 40, of 23 High Clere Close, New Market, United Kingdom, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 8, 2008. Formerly of Boiling Springs, SC, He was born on July 20, 1967 in Townsend, MD to Harold Melvin and Rachel Ann Parris Waters. He was the grandson of the late Reverend Ernest Lee and Mary Lois Gregory Waters and the late Belton and Minney Blackwell Parris. He graduated from Boiling Springs High School in Boling Springs and went on to graduate from Lander University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. In 1992 he joined the United States Air Force where he served our country with dignity and honor for the past 16 years. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior a the age of 8 and served his Savior as a Royal Ambassador at First Baptist Church of Boiling Springs in Boiling Springs, SC. He served as a summer missionary in Missouri as a teen and he worked with various missionary projects through the church. Survivors include his wife Rebecca Carrol Herzog Waters and two step-sons, Timothy and Thomas of the home; a father and mother-in-law, Larry and Yvonne Brown Herzog of Grand Forks, ND; a brother and sister-in-law, Lary Herzog, Jr. and Elizabeth Herzog of Columbus, WI; a sister, Cynthia and Nephew Gregory Hinson of Spartanburg; niece Victorial Michelle Hinson of Simpsonville, SC; an aunt, Alice V. Parris of Gaffney; and uncle Gettys and wife Shirley Parris of Blacksburg; an uncle and aunt Darrel and Deloris Reed of Anderson; and a number of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2008 at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church by Dr. Hank Williams, Dr. James Cocker and Dr. Wayne Dickard with burial at M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, May 2, 2008 from 10:00-10:45 AM at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.
