Obituary of Merle Dalton

Danielsville - Mrs. Henri Merle Martin Dalton, 84, of 233 Dalton Drive, Danielsville, Georgia, died Friday, January 21, 2005 at Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston, Georgia.Mrs. Dalton was born in Madison County, Georgia, August 8, 1920, daughter of the late H.T. Martin, Sr. and the late Emma Crowe Martin. Mrs. Dalton was a seamstress, having worked with Blue Bell Manufacturing Company and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Royston, Georgia. Survivors include Daughter and son-in-law Patsy and Hoppy Royston of Danielsville, Georgia; granddaughters and spouses Jennifer and Bobby Bond, Angelia and Eric West, and Kristi Royston; great-grandchildren Jordan and Abby Thrasher.Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.Funeral services for Mrs. Dalton will be at 2 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2005 at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Martin T. Coile and Rev. Calvin Coile officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel M. Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is at the Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, Georgia, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday evening. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. The family is at the home. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston is in charge of arrangements.
