MAXINE MARGARET PATTEN In loving memory of Maxine Margaret Patten, 83, of 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., who passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 10, 2000 at her residence. Maxine is survived by her son, Mark Patten and his wife, Rochelle, and their son, Lee, of Minneapolis, Mn.; and by her niece, Gaye Czmola, and her family of Winnipeg, Man. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold “Sonny” Patten on Aug. 8, 1992; her parents, Michael and Ruby Callaghan; and her sister, Mary. Maxine was born in Fort Frances on Nov. 10, 1916 and spent many years here. She graduated from high school in Carman, Man. Maxine was united in marriage to Sonny on Feb. 15, 1941 and they settled in International Falls, Mn., where she spent the next 28 years. She enjoyed reading, liked to travel, and loved spending time with her family. She also was an active member of Al-anon. Honouring Maxine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to Rainycrest Home for the Aged East Wing, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 3T2.
