Obituary of Maurice Nolan


NOLAN, Maurice 1926-2004 Passed away January 20, 2004 in Toronto. He grew up in Trochu, Alberta, where his parents, Ben and Lily Novalansky, owned Ben's General Store. After moving to Edmonton, he joined his brother Harry as a partner in Nolan Drug Store. Maurice later moved to Toronto. The last nine years of his life were enriched by the love and companionship he shared with his beloved life partner, Grace Safeer Goldberg. Predeceased by his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, Grace and family, Toronto; sister Celia and Murray Rotstein, Toronto; brother Harry and Ruth Nolan, Edmonton; uncle and aunt Fred and Gert Narvey, Winnipeg and many cousins. Maurice was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his golf buddies and many friends. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit 16P, Princess Margaret Hospital, 610 University Avenue, Toronto M5G 2M9. Funeral Services took place in Toronto.
