Mrs. Mattie Lee Whigham Jackson - SAVANNAH - Mattie Lee Whigham Jackson, 94 had her transition on February 16, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family She was born in Emanuel County, GA on April 5, 1915 and resided in Savannah, GA since 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred M. Jackson, three children Gwendolyn J. McMillan, Louise J. White and Fred E. Jackson. She was a devoted wife and mother. She dedicated her life to the rearing and nurturing of her children, grandchildren and great grand children. She leaves to mourn her other children: Mattie F. Jackson (Alfred) Gray (Greensville, SC), Dazola Jackson Belle, & Cynthia Jackson Formey (Savannah, GA), John A. Jackson (Forrest Park, GA) and Cyrus J (Brenda) Jackson (Fayetteville, GA), 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, four sisters, two brothers, 1 brother-in-law and a host of other relatives.
