Obituary of Mary Wilkie


Mary Frances (Sally) Robinson Wilkie, 62, of 500 Roe Road, loving wife and mother, went to be with her Lord at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Greenville County on Dec. 6, 1943, she was a daughter of Nell Carter Robinson of Powdersville and the late Farris Robinson, Mrs. Wilkie retired from Safety Components Dunean Plant, and was a member of Carolina Community Church of Liberty. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Willard E. Wilkie of the home; a daughter, Karen A. Wilkie of Powdersville; two brothers, Clyde Robinson of Fountain Inn and Arvel Robinson of Easley; and three sisters, Faye Manley, Linda Morris and Betty Jean Lingerfelt, all of Greenville. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by brothers, Farris Robinson Jr. and Wayne Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, Easley, with Rev. John Wayne Revis officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. The family is at the home. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Larry Gluck and all the nurses and staff at the Cancer Center of Carolinas. Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, Easley, is assisting the family with arrangements.
