Obituary of Mary Quinlan


QUINLAN Quinlan, Mary, 91, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away June 5, 2002. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 5, 1911, and moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1959 when she was transferred here by the Dept. of Agriculture, for whom she worked for 30 years before ore retiring in 1968. She is survived by her brother, John A. Quinlan, and sister-in law, Catharine Quinlan, and 16 nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, an ecumenical minister, and active in their Women's Club. Other local organizations she participated in were the young-at-Heart Club where she served as Secretary and president of the Pan-American Club of Broward County. In 1962 she was a representative in a group traveling to Medellin, Colombia, when it was declared Ft. Lauderdale's sister city. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 901 N.E. 2nd St., Ft. Lauderdale. Interment will be in Lauderdale Memorial Park following cremation. Arrangements by: FAIRCHILD FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER 299 North Federal Highway Ft. Lauderdale 954-763-4488.
