Obituary of Mary-Cashio Parr

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Cashio Parr, 96, Gadsden, who passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014. Father Gray Bean will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.Mrs. Parr was a native and lifelong resident of Gadsden. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was preceded in death her husband, James "Kermit" Parr; brothers, Gri Cashio and Charles Cashio.She is survived by her sons, John Parr, Hokes Bluff, and Jim Parr and wife, Tina, Rainbow City; grandchildren, Beth Parr Hecker and Joan Parr Tucker; great-granddaughters, Mary Gwyn Tucker and Lauren Hecker; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Holden and John T. Parr; step-great-grandchildren, Justin, Jayden, Rylan and Loghan Holden, Dakota and Damon Parr; sisters, Lena Joan Rietta and Frances McRae; brother, Sammy Cashio; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be nephews and grandsons-in-law.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church.Condolences may be made at www.collier-butler.com.
