Obituary of Martha-Jane Watt

Mrs. Martha Jane Cook July 8, 1929 - October 4, 2008 - (nee Watt) Peacefully, on October 4, 2008, in her 79th year, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to Gordon of fifty-six years. Loving mother of the late Linda (Nov. 2007) and husband John Groen, of Lynden; David and wife Christine, of Toronto. Dear daughter of the late Laverne and Mary Watt (nee John-stone). Dear grandma to Adam, Becky, and Amy; Andrew, Katie, and Steven. Dear sister of the late Frederick and his wife Genevieve Watt. Jane was known for her bright smile, loving nature, and consid-eration of others. Jane was also an active parishioner of St. Aidan's Church as a Lay Visitor and Choir Member. The family would like to thank the staff of Heron Terrace, friends and neighbours for all their support and kindness. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 7th at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Visiting will resume after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, 5145 Wyandotte St. E. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev'd Tom Carman will be officiating. An interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In kindness, a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jane in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the fall of 2009. You may share a memory at www.marcottetecumseh.ca .
