Obituary of Marjorie-H. Barker

Marjorie H. Barker, 78, a former resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., for 34 years, passed away Sept. 29, 2011, in Bryant, Ark. She was born the youngest of four children in DeSoto, Mo., to Dudley and Dorothy Harper Bailey. She accepted the Lord as her Savior as a young girl. She loved crafts, sewing and quilting, and was very gifted in these areas.Marjorie is survived by her children, Steve and Cindy Barker of Crystal River, Fla., Karen and David Hawkins of Kerrville, Texas, Gary and Sandy Barker of Mt. Washington, Ky., and Larry and Shelby Barker of Benton, Ark. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and is survived by one sister, Cathy Loney of Upland, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, of 53 years; her parents; one sister; one brother; and one grandson.A memorial service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., on Monday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Payne, a close family friend, of Spanish Fort, Ala., officiating.
