Obituary of Maria Valente

VALENTE, Maria Passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday, September 5, 2005, with her family by her side, in her 91st year. Loving wife of the late Armindo Valente. Dear mother to Maria Sousa (Jack), Alda Pereira (Armenio), Do mingas Silva (late Antonio), Antonio Valente (Felisbela), Alvaro Valente (Dorinda), Rosa Marques (Antonio) and Dorinda Valente (Carlos). Survived by sister Nazare Matos of Portugal. Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Wi ll be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews from Canada and Portugal. A special thank you to the staff at KGH especially Dr. Bryson and the nurses on Connell 10. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive on Thursday, September 8th, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady Fatima, Division Street on Friday, September 9th, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal Prayers at St. Mary's Cemetery.
