Margaret White Nugent, 106, Sarasota, died July 25, 2003. She was born March 21, 1897, in Southampton, N.Y., and came to Sarasota in 1987 from East Hampton, N.Y. After receiving a bachelor of science degree in 1920 from Teachers College, Columbia University, she worked as an assistant clinical pathologist in the clinical pathology laboratory at New York Hospital. She was a member of The Church of the Palms in Sarasota and First Presbyterian Church in East Hampton where she taught Sunday school and was president of the women's association. She was a member of the Eastern Gate Garden Club, the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include a son, Dr. Paul F. Jr. of Xenia, Ohio; and a daughter, Margaret N. Conklin of Bridgehampton, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to The First Presbyterian Church, Main Street, East Hampton, NY 11937; or to The Church of the Palms, 3224 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34239.
