Obituary of Margaret O-Meara

O'MEARA, Margaret Peacefully at St. Patrick's Home on Sunday January 16, 2005, in her 96th year, Margaret Mears, widow of the late Thomas O'Meara. Predeceased by siblings; Rev. Sister St. Adele G.S.I.C., Farrell, Olive, Florence (Edward Foley), Dennis (May Lepage) and Mabel. Survived by nieces and nephews; Eunice Foley (John Clarke), Jean Foley (Donald McKenna), Edwin Foley (Margaret Read), Doreen Foley (James Sauve) and Tim Mears (Wendy Bowkett). She is also survived by several grand nieces and nephews; great-grand nieces and nephews and many very special friends at St. Patrick's Home. Margaret had a long career as a teacher with the Ottawa Separate School Board and was an active member of Resurrection of Our Lord Parish for many years. Sincere thanks to the nursing staff, caregivers, and Pastoral Care Team of St. Patrick's Home for their love and dedicated efforts on her behalf. Resting at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Home Chapel, 2865 Riverside Drive. Interment St. Phillips Cemetery, Richmond, in the spring. In memory of Margaret, donations to St. Patrick's Home would be greatfully appreciated by the family.
