Obituary of Margaret-J. James

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Margaret Jewell Weeks James, wife of the late William O. "Bill" James, entered into rest March 16, 2011. Mrs. James was a long time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She was author and publisher of a book of poems entitled A Light Unto My Path. Survivors include three sons, Mickey (Cindy) James; Randy (Joyce) James; and Toby James; two daughters, Gina (Steve) Shapiro; and Tammie Dyson; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Nina Stafford. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Gordon Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Dyson, Jeremy Dyson, Justin Dyson, Michael James, Larry Crawford and Don Boteler. Honorary pallbearers will be Margaret James' Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
