JAMES, Margaret Eileen Feb. 9, 1921 Nov. 17, 2007 Eileen was born in Port Arthur, Ontario to John Joseph and Margaret Hickey. She and her brothers, Jack and Arthur, moved with their parents to Victoria in 1924, and Eileen never left. Her sister, Betty, was born in 1927. Eileen is survived by her devoted husband, Tom James, and their children: Art (Pam) James, Terry (Lynda) James, Kathy (David) Mick, grandchildren: Hayley (Greg McArthur), Paul and Corrina Mick, Denis (Rosie) James and Kelley (Nick) Engwer and great granddaughter, Ava James. Eileen was a spirited and witty woman who lived her life fully. She was blessed with a sense of humor second to none, which was present through all of her life and its trials. She had many close and fun-loving friends. Eileen attended St. Anne's Academy from Kindergarten through to Grade 12 and commercial school. As an adult, she dedicated herself to family, friends, her community and church. A devoted Catholic, Eileen took great pride in organizing the centralizing of the St. Patrick's School library with Sister Norah Keane. She also sat on the church's board. Eileen was a consummate fan of her grandchildren, reveling in all of their lives and accomplishments. The family wishes to thank the loving and dedicated staff at Mt. Edward's care facility, Dr. Carol Jenken for her compassionate care of Eileen during her final week and most importantly we wish to thank Eileen, our Mom and Grandma. She made us all better people for loving and knowing her. God Speed. A celebratory mass for Eileen will take place at St. Patrick's Church, 2060 Haultain at 12:10 p.m., Friday November 23, 2007. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice. 426217
